May 5th is a special day in our house and this year was a great one. Turning two is a pretty big deal!
Here's a peak at E's special day:
He started off his 2nd birthday by playing with Kels and eating his special breakfast Daddy made for him.
After playing outside with Daddy, he came in to discover Mommy had decorated the house and put out the cupcakes and cookies!
The day before he helped me make the cupcakes and now they were ready. Yea!
We were almost ready to start the celebration, but just had to get the birthday boy in the bath...
Before his Daddy could get his clothes off, he snuck back downstairs...
to steal a cookie! Smart boy!
After the bath, some teeth and hair brushing, he was ready to go...
and looking good for pictures!
Of course, we had to take his two year shots sitting in the brown chair.
And then it was time for the party to start - all his buddies and their parents came over to play. (I only got this very blurry shot of him playing with his best buddy Alex - they laugh and play so hard together!)
A birthday party is not complete without making a wish - he blew the candle out himself!

After the party ended, he opened his gifts...
And played with all the cool stuff.
And like the good boy he is, he even shared his toys with his sister.
Our good friend Paula gave him Lincoln Logs and stayed late building with him.
And then Daddy switched in to build some.
And then he got bored and played in the box. :)
It was a good day for our sweet little two year old.
