After Christmas we drove into the mountains to spend some time with Aaron's side of the family.
We feel like we lucked out when Aaron's parents bought a home in Colorado. Not only does it seem like such a perfect spot for Gigi and Grandpa, but it is really nice for us to have both sets of grandparents within a few hours of each other. :)
We all really enjoyed getting to spent time with everyone over the holidays.
And this year, we got to see almost the whole Fuhr clan for New Years. Grandpa John, Mark, Christina, Lauren, Brendon came over from South Dakota and Grandma Dolly came up from Colorado Springs. It was a full house!
We enjoyed a few days of playing in the snow,
exploring Steamboat,
and enjoying the new house.

The great thing about being up in the mountains in the winter is all the snow. I don't think there is much cuter then a little kid all dressed up in winter clothes (especially Kels as a big puff of fluff!), so there are lots of pictures of the fun:
We all had a great time sledding, skiing, shoveling, eating and playing in the plentiful white stuff.
Ethan was pretty excited to finally get to put his skiis back on
and Kels enjoyed strapping them on for the first time.
They spent lots of time just playing out in the sunny cold
but for some reason, they seemed to love shoveling the most.
Ethan especially is a snow shoveling machine. This guy literally spent hours over the week with his shovel.

The one draw back of lots of family being in Colorado is that we live so far away. We decided to give driving a chance this year and were pleasantly surprised that it was not as painful as we first imagined. The kids did fantastic in the car and were hilarious when we stopped at the end of the day - they couldn't hold still for a second!
