Houston Christmas

We spent the two weeks surrounding the Christmas holiday traveling around Colorado, but before we left we did a small little Fuhr Christmas at home in Houston.

This year both E and Kels fully understood what Santa was and really got into him.  Kels got excited and yelled "anta!" everytime we saw him and I mean everytime - reading books, going by people's yard, at stores...  Ethan figured out pretty quick that most Santas we saw were just pretend and not real.  (The beard in the picture above was not convincing to him at all!)

And then we saw the 'real' Santa.  That was exciting for both of them!

Kels was so happy when she first saw him that she ran right up to him...

and then started crying when she realized she was supposed to sit in his lap.  :)  But Santa was fantastic and calmed her down so she could tell him what she wanted...and it was of course what E wanted.

E was mesmerized the whole time and kept staring in awe.  And when Santa asked what he wanted, he shouted "A Marble Game!".  (just like at Nana's house)

And lucky for this little bugger, he didn't have to wait for Santa to bring it.  His Nana sent him his marble game and he got to open it several days early!

And Kels didn't get the marble game like Ethan, but she did get some fun other toys to sing and dance...

and strut her stuff with.

And of course, Dad had a parent's authentic Christmas as well, getting to spend time figuring out how to put the toys together while the kids hopped excitedly around him waiting to play.

Some pics of them playing during their Houston Christmas:
