March & Spring Break 2015

Now that we have a kiddo in school, March means spring break and a time for fun!

Some days we went out into the city in search of adventure

and a few days we did nothing but play at home

and eat pickles.

We spent time at the butterfly center to see how many butterflies would land on us,

and played with other insects,

and time at the museum to check in on our favorite dinosaurs,

and also roamed the zoo to see what the animals were up to in springtime,

we spent our first day of the year on our beach (!!),

and we also spent time just RUNNING,

and PLAYING,

and having FUN. (this outfit just screams fun!)

It was a fun week of getting to see friends,

be a little silly,

and be all together.

Spring break 2015 was good times.  For sure.

March in Houston also means the Rodeo, so we took a day to put on cowboy hats,

hopped on the train,

and went to see the horses and cows and baby chicks and piggies.

The kids got to ride tractors

bounce on huge trampolines, play games and ride rides.

But after all the animals and good food and fun games, the family favorite is watching mutton busting.  It just doesn't get better than little 5 year olds riding sheep and Ethan cannot wait to get to do it next year.

It felt so good to be back on the beach in March.  Cole obviously didn't remember being at the ocean last year and he was so excited to see so much water.

As soon as I put him down on the sand he took off screaming in happiness towards the water, running in face first into a wave.  No fear, all excitement.  When it knocked him over, he got up and kept on running!

Ethan and Kelsey were pretty happy to be back in the sand and the salty water as well.

With three kids and just me, I didn't get any pictures of the water play, but they spent a lot of time in it having a blast.
