Our baby boy Cole turned a year old on February 13th and it was a celebration! A celebration of this amazing little guy's first year of life and a celebration because life was about to get a little easier for the rest of us. :)
He started off the day bright eyed and happy for breakfast,
snuck some snuggle time with Gigi,
then began the days duties of a little climbing,
rock throwing,
and play time with big brother.
He snuck in a good nap
a picture or two,
and was then happy to help bake a few cupcakes.
And then the party started!!
One year old parties are all about balloons,
a little bit of crying,
and his first cake!
We were all excited to see his reaction to his first taste of yummy cake and frosting,
which he seemed to like.
And then you can see in his eyes that he gets a better idea for the cake. Why eat it...
when you can throw it!
And squish it!
Even if the birthday boy wasn't eating the cake, big brother and sister were happy to help out.
After a little help practicing walking,
and stepping out on his own a bit,
a few more pictures to make Mom happy,
it was time for presents!
And once the birthday boy went to bed, E & Kels were happy to soak up some of the attention for themselves.
They were also happy to help open the rest of the presents the next day!

Cole's cousin is just three days older than him, so the next day we had a big Fuhr family party to celebrate both one year olds.
It has been a lot of fun watching these two babies grow together so it just made sense to celebrate their babyhood together.
They can be so similar at times and then so very different, but both adorable!
Here are a few pictures from the celebration. I didn't take pictures of them, but Gigi, Uncle Curtis and Frances all joined in to celebrate our babies too! -
