Bluebonnets 2015

Last year we had so much fun and got some pretty good pictures in the bluebonnets, I wanted to make sure we got out this year and did it again.  But we had so much rain this spring that I couldn't plan a day for it.

One morning they had forecasted rain turned out to be clear and beautiful.  I threw the kids in the car and we rushed out to the bluebonnet field before the rains came back.

And I'll be honest with you, rushing them out there was not the way to do it because it did not start off well.  Cole had to have an outfit change as soon as we got there, Kels had sunscreen in her eye the whole time, both she and Cole had runny noses and nobody was in the mood to smile for the camera.

So I gave up on my cute repeat of last year with everyone a year older and let them free.

Once they got to run, we  actually got a smiley one!  It wasn't in the bluebonnets and it was in the shade and the wind, but at that point I didn't care.  I was happy it ended up being a fun day for us!

And we had even more fun at the Bluebell Creamery and running around it's grounds after:
