Here, There and back to Here

October is usually the time of year we are spending all our spare time at any festival or fall celebration that we can find.  But this year we skipped most of the festivals and found other ways to entertain ourselves.

In late September, Gigi and Grandpa came to spend a week.  It's so nice that they get to come visit more than just the holidays.

The kids love getting Gigi and Grandpa time!

And since Aaron's brothers all live so close, Gigi and Grandpa's visit are extra special because it means the whole Fuhr clan can be together.

And the kids love to get to see their cousins!

After Gigi and Grandpa headed home, we packed a few bags and headed to Austin for a long weekend.  We love being in Austin for any reason, but the city is even better during Austin City Limits.

It was a great few days of wonderful weather, awesome music and some good, good times.

The kids had fun getting to run around the grass, play on the blanket, and hang out as a family.  (I lost most of my pictures from the weekend of the kids, which is a bummer because they really had fun!)

And when they were done having fun, Kels and Cole just curled up and slept...right there in the middle of a huge music festival.  I love these kids.

And if a long weekend of a music festival isn't exciting enough, a day after we returned from Austin my entire family began arriving into Houston...with special excitement when Annie & Kate arrived and the little foursome was back together.

You can be sure there will be a separate post about that fabulous week in the future, so for now all I'll say is that good times were had and we all loved celebrating Uncle Brian and Aunt Kora's marriage.

Once all the family left and the big events were behind us, we had time to stay home and just be.

We took this time to relax,

get back on regular sleep schedules (which this little guy desperately needed!!),

and get caught up with our lives.

E took this time to learn to riding his bike without training wheels,

Kels used it to continue her exploration of imagination and accessorization,

and Cole did what Cole does...search and explore,

put everything he can touch in his mouth.

The big events in our life this fall were such a great time.

And slow days at home were somehow just as wonderful.
