Coley Moley was a happy, exploring little 8 month old!
During his 8th month, he grew much stronger and showed off his sense of adventure and fearlessness.
Cole began to blow bubbles with his mouth, was constantly saying dadadada and loved roaming around to find new things to touch and chew.
Early in the month Cole figured out how to pull himself up in his crib.
Once he figured out that he could get himself to a standing position on his own, pulling up was the only thing he wanted to do.
By the end of the month he was strong enough to stand up on his own and use furniture more to balance than lean on.
He absolutely loved to be standing, more than on the floor scooting around, and would laugh and laugh as he played on his feet.
He has decided he would rather play outside his bouncers now than inside!
Cole got a walker this month and figured out how to move his feet to push himself around. He loves being up and moving.
When not up on his feet, he was pulling things down to his level.
He was very happy to be surrounded by as many things as possible, touching and playing with them all.
On the day he turned 8 months, he got up on all fours and crawled around...but I'll give a spoiler for Month 9 - the crawling didn't last! Cole prefers to scoot his way across the floor on his belly.
Cole used all this development of his gross motor skills to help grow his desire for exploration. Any where we put him down, he was quickly off looking for something to touch, take apart, throw or chew.
Some of my favorite times of the day is when we are home and this guy can just roam the house, having a blast touching as much as he can.
Another of my favorite things about Cole at this age is his forehead kisses. It's his way of saying hello, I like you, Goodnight - leaning in and letting you kiss his forehead and then smiling. His face is so sweet as he takes his forehead kisses.
It was a fun month of growth for the little guy!
