You're Not Supposed to Compare...

So I know, you're not supposed to compare your children.  I know they are all individuals, they each have their strengths and their unique characteristics.


They are all wonderful in their own ways.  And we celebrate them that way. 

But at least in the first year, I love to compare them anyways.  So here goes...

At 6 months, Ethan was our biggest kid, in height and weight.


Kels was our chunkiest baby, with the absolute best leg rolls.


And Cole is growing into being our skinny guy with the cutest little body.

Some say E & Kels look very similar, and like their daddy.  

Most say Cole has a very different look than his siblings, and looks like his mama.  

But they all look so different to me, although at times they make similar facial expressions that highlight the resemblances.  

Even if Ethan and Cole don't look just alike, they were so similar at this age - the way they moved, the sounds they made, the faces they make, the way their big old heads are like lollipops on their more slender bodies...

All three of our kids were very happy babies and pretty easy during the whole first year.


 Kels and Cole are our super smilers.


Cole seems to be more social than the other two at this point, absolutely lighting up and 'chatting' away when we are out with friends.


Ethan and Cole are our movers.  At this age, neither one could hold still and loved to be standing, touching and bouncing.


Kels wins as being our super sleeper (I so wish Cole would follow suit on this...)


And Ethan mastered the gross motor skills fastest (crawling, pulling up, walking)

All these differences add up to making them the cutest little crew!
