Our baby Cole at six months is such a fun baby - so many laughs, smiles and much happiness.
At six months, Cole is a very social baby that loves to be out around people and meet new people (as long as mom is around).
Cole is ALWAYS moving. If he is awake, he is moving. He is the king of leg kicks and arm pumps. He does them all the time and he does them fast. The more excited he is, the faster his arms go. We think he might take off one day...
His favorite is when he does the arm pump in the water, it cracks him up and gets everyone wet.
Cole has slowed down enough this month to figure out how to sit up by himself.
Sitting up can be tough when you're a mover because just as soon as he gets settled and stable, something excites him which sends him tumbling down.
When he is on his belly he is trying to figure out how to get around. At this point he uses his legs less than his arms and does a sort of army crawl to pull himself around the floor.
When his army crawl isn't cutting it, Cole just steam rolls his way across the room, rolling from back to front to back to front until he gets to what he wants. This is a very effective way of covering a whole room!
Cole is growing mentally just as fast as his physical growth. He can entertain himself on the floor inspecting, rolling, feeling anything he can find.
Our guy loves water and his baths, loves anything he can scoot to on the ground and put in his mouth, loves to pass balls back and forth in his hand, loves to watch his fingers move.
It's now been six months of me writing about what a happy smiley baby Cole is and now at this milestone I have to add that he might just be the most laughing baby ever. He really is just always laughing.
It helps that he has two little monkeys to make him happy and bring on the giggles.
And when they aren't around, this kid just cracks himself up. I honestly think Cole thinks he is funniest thing around, breaking out in giggles with everything he does.
Cole's other favorite noise to make is the classic bah bah bah, although he sounds more like rah rah rah rah. He talks so much right now, to everyone. To me, to his siblings, to his toys, to the wall.
When this guy does get upset, singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is like a drug. It instantly settles him and if its the right time, puts him to sleep.
Now that our baby is halfway through his first year, I am soaking up all the moments of his sweet little snuggles, the sounds of his awesome laugh and the joy on his face when I come back in a room, before he all too quickly outgrows this stage.
When Cole turned six months, he had his ceremonial first food. Like his siblings, his first was a mashed up avocado. And like the other two, he was not too excited about it but his face was awesome.
I say ceremonial because he has been teething and drooling for weeks so we have been giving him water melon rinds, apples and other cold fruit to gnaw on.

Being the baby of the family is tough, you have to catch your naps where you can,
get stuck with hand me downs from your sister,
and rarely get space to yourself (I love the look on Cole's face).
But it has its perks with all the attention you get!
We adore our baby boy
