Once we felt pretty settled into life at home with three kids plus dog, we decided it was time to take our show on the road for our first trip as a complete family.
We had done lots of day trips since Cole was born, but a few weeks ago we packed up what felt like the whole house and headed north to spend a weekend camping.
Camping is E & Kels' favorite thing to do in the whole world (those were E's words so it must be true), so I can't even begin to explain the excitement in the house when I told them we were going.
Going so late in the spring, we thought we were going to have to deal with the heat, but luckily all the wacky weather we've been having helped us out and it was a perfect weekend.
It was a wonderful few days of good times as a family, good times with friends, good times in nature:

And to officially kick off summer, we packed up the five plus dog and headed south to the beach for some digging, squirt fighting, and wave busting:
