Cole - Three Months

It seems at every three months in the first year babies make big jumps in development, and Cole is right on track.

He is significantly more alert when he is awake, which he is more often during the day, and he is significantly stronger.

And best of all - he is even more smiley!

A big change in the last few weeks is that he loves to have anything in his mouth - fist, blanket, stuffed animal - and he is able to get things there.  His favorite is to gnaw on his hands, which he seems to be figuring out how to control.

He holds his head up high even on his tummy, holds up his body weight with his legs, holds toys in his hands and can get them to his mouth.

At three months our little Cole is mobile!...kinda.  He kicks his legs so much and so hard he moves his body all over.  He can wiggle himself all over the bed, out of his swing, off a blanket.  It's hard work!

He is so close to actually rolling over, getting halfway there from back to tummy.  When he is on the bed he can actually roll, but I think the squishy mattress helps a lot.

Cole loves to fly,

 and pretend jump,

be talked to,

and tickled.

He loves interacting with E and Kels,

and they love it now that he can be more a part of their games.

It was just a week or two ago that he was content chilling in his swing next to us if we weren't holding him,

but now he wants to be up, standing on our lap, close to the action or making his own entertainment under his gym.

When E was three months, I wrote a post about how he was able to hold our hands and go from laying down to standing up.  Our little Cole loves to do the same thing!:
