So I am a little late updating the blog on our adorable little girl. Kels turned a happy 7 months old on July 12th. She is changing so fast these days!
Kelsey's biggest accomplishment this month was starting to babble in syllables, rather than just making noise. She does a cute "Bab, bab, bab" all day long. One day she just woke up saying it and hasn't stopped.
Kelsey is also working on crawling. In her 7th month, she got up on all fours and rocked back and forth. By the end of the month, she figured out she could move herself by getting up on her hands and knees and launching herself forward.
Kels is trying hard to move herself anyway she can - she scrunches her legs up under and pushes forward, moving like an inchworm; she wiggles her whole body, squirming forward like a fish; and rolls around the floor like a steam roller!
We know she is working so hard on moving herself because she wants to keep up with her big brother. He is her favorite guy. She laughs and smiles at him all day and just watches everywhere he moves around the room. You can just see in her eyes how much she wants to be up with him.
Kelsey still tries to sit up herself. She now lays on her side, pushes her body up with her arm, and wiggles her legs like crazy, just trying to get herself into a sitting position. It looks like her own little horizontal dance moves.
As I say every month, Kelsey is so incredibly happy!
And a little silly. :)
Aaron and I laugh that its hard to tell through the pictures that Kelsey goes on all our vacations with us. So here is a shot of Kelsey hanging out on one of our trips. She hangs out on me when we are out and about, cozied up watching the views.
Our furniture has arrived in Houston, so here is the big girl at 7 months in the chair.
