A sitting artist

I've mentioned in previous posts that Ethan loves to sit on the stairs.  He spends a lot of time just hanging out there.  

He also has a little Elmo chair that is just his size that he can sit in when we sit in our chairs.

But even Elmo isn't as good as the stairs. 

When we are out of the house he has a good eye for finding other little seats just his size.  

And when he spies them, he runs over just to sit for a bit.  

It really is the only time all day, other than when he sleeps, that he holds still. 

 

Nothing like sitting in a seat just your size to feel like a big kid.

When he sits in his swing set, it looks like he's ready to sell lemonade.

Since he loves little seats his size so much we figured it was the perfect time to get him a little table and chair set.  When GiGi was here visiting she got him a little set and he loves it!  It is funny how much this guy likes chairs his size.

He now has a little space to color, read and do his projects.  And he sometimes goes to the table just to sit.  

It's been fun getting Ethan started on little art projects.  One day recently we pulled out the finger paints and had a blast getting paint everywhere but on his hands!

My favorite was when he sat in it and spread it around the board with his diaper.  He has such a cute little painted bottom.

Ethan's favorite seat of all would be sitting on Malley and hugging her...except this isn't Malley's favorite!  Poor puppy gets a lot of one year old love.
