After a great week at my parents house, we took a day to fish our way over to Steamboat, CO to spend week two of our trip with Gigi and Grandpa.
During the week in Steamboat we explored the little mountain town,
and a few of the trails and views around it,
went to a few summer festivals,
fished a bit,
and best of all just played around at the house
and enjoying the great outdoors.
And of course, getting to spend a week with the grandparents is in and of itself a great time.
We had the extra bonus of getting to spend time with Grandpa John.
It was a good week. A real good week.

My kids love to be read to and if we come to visit your house, you better be prepared to read a lot.
So it doesn't matter how wonderful the weather is, how beautiful the mountains are or how nice the house is,
the way to impress my kids on vacation is to have a big basket of Berenstain Bears books waiting for them.
They can't get enough of the Brother and Sister Bear
and love to snuggle into laps to hear the latest adventure.
