The Trio

Ethan, May 2010

Kelsey, December 2011

Cole, February 2014

Some people say the boys look very much a like with Kelsey looking less like them.  Others have said they think E and Kels are more similar and Cole has his own look.  I think they all have similarities (their cute little button noses and super loooong torsos!) and Cole seems to be on his both siblings' track of looking like their daddy.

Some of their similarities and differences in each of their first few weeks of life:
Kelsey and Cole are our moon babies and were born when the moon was full (I guess the superstition might be true!) and Ethan was born a week after the full moon.

All three of our babies are tongue tied.  Ethan has a more severe tongue tie with Kels and Cole only moderate.  Kels and Cole also have an upper lip tie.

We lucked into having three fantastic eaters.  Ethan and Kelsey have proven to carry this trait past infancy and we are hoping Cole will as well.  So far, he is following suit!

Our kiddos are on the larger size, but at birth and the weeks that followed, E and Cole were skinny things while Kels had some chunk on her.  Cole has some seriously thin legs, we're hoping he outgrows his chicken legs.  :)

Ethan and Cole slept very similar in their first month, very much like the average newborn.  Kelsey slept all the time, with very little awake time even by three weeks old.

Kelsey and Cole rarely ever cry(ied) as newborns, while I remember a few times when we couldn't figure out how to settle Ethan down.  Although, I am pretty sure this had to do with the experience of us as parents rather than the personality of the kids.

I remember thinking that Ethan never, ever held still as a baby when he was awake and Cole is starting to act similar to him.  Kelsey was so chill even after a few months old.

With Cole only a few weeks old, we haven't even begun to see his personality truly emerge.  It will be fun to see how all three of them grow and change in their own unique ways.

And not matter how you compare them, they are each beautiful, wonderful little people.
