Cole Hunter is now a sweet, little one month old. It has been a fun month of watching him change every day before our eyes.
I think I have said every post since Cole was born about how mellow he is. That pretty much sums up his first month. He sleeps well, eats well, grunts when he needs something and is pretty content when awake.
In his fourth week of life Cole made two big milestones -
He smiled a real smile for the first time
and he gained control of his head.
When this little guys is awake and alert, his favorite way to hang out is being held upright so he can hold his head up high.
Another fun change this week is that he is starting to look us in the eye, rather than stare at the edges of our profile. His eyesight is getting better!
After a month we have figured out some of his preferences - he likes to sleep and lounge on our chests, he likes his back rubbed, he loves to be swayed or chill in his swing, he goes to sleep best holding our fingers.
It seems another of his favorites is being read to. At least once a day he falls asleep on my chest or lap while I read to the kids. He is a well read newborn.
I noticed in the last week that our little guy isn't just getting longer,
but he is starting to get some chunk on him as well. Nothing is better than baby leg rolls!
After a month we are happy to report that Cole has not lost his novelty to E and Kels. They still give him constant attention and are impatiently waiting for when he doesn't sleep so much.
For some reason Ethan loves to play with Cole's feet. As E goes to sleep at night, he likes to rub them. Its a funny way to bond.
Now that our guy has turned a month, he got his first picture in the big brown chair!
