Canada to End the Summer

Our last rendezvous for the Summer of 2013 ended the season with a bang.  We spent a week up in Calgary to visit Gigi and Grandpa and see Banff National Park without snow.

This was the trip we were supposed to take over the 4th of July, but the city was flooded so we postponed.  Delaying the trip worked in our favor because we had perfect weather and late summer is such a pretty time of year there without many other tourists.

During the week we spent time exploring the fun parts of Calgary - like downtown, the trains, the zoo, the kids museum, the parks and the trails.

We also spent a few days in the mountains, hiking, checking out the cute little mountain towns like Banff and Canmor, and adding a few rocks to the rivers.

And in between, we just enjoyed Gigi and Grandpa time.
