Some of our very good friends were recently married and Ethan got to be the ring bearer in the wedding. He had a great time being the center of attention (ok, second center after the bride) and did a great job walk/running down the aisle. And of course, he looked good!
I was excited for his cute outfit for the rehearsal and dinner, and he was excited for the cool remote control car the bride and groom gave him.
His official title was Ring Security, which was an important role... especially since he was in charge of the actual ring!
E can be kind of a shy guy around strangers and in a crowd, so we weren't sure if he would want to walk down the aisle and get on the stage.
Our friends did a great job of making him feel special and getting him excited about his job, which made the night a lot of fun for him.
When it was time for him to go, I checked for the ring in his pocket, gave him the bible and pointed him to the groom. He gave me a smile and started walking down the aisle, then halfway down he started running. He ran up the stage, searched in one pocket and couldn't find the ring. He searched the other pocket, found it, pulled it out and dropped it on the stage. We all giggled when we heard the clink, clink, clink of it bouncing around watched him find it and give it to the pastor. He was so proud as he came running back up the aisle looking for me with his lollipop in his hand.
Kels was part of the day as well, all dressed up like a princess.
She and E had a great time playing together waiting for the wedding to start.
We were so happy E could be part of our friends special day and even happier that he enjoyed it.
