Cole - 6 Weeks

Happy babies are the best and our man Cole is a happy baby!

At six weeks, Cole is getting more fun day by day.  He is still only alert a few hours a day, but when he is, he is more active.  He loves to be talked to and gives lots of smiles and coos.

Day by day, our man is getting chunkier too!  At six weeks he has gained 50% from his lowest weight, at almost two ounces a day.  This kid is eating!

If you were the fan in any room in our house, this is how you would know Cole.  He loves the fans and prefers them to not be moving, since his eyes can't track movement very well yet.

We have discovered that our guy gets some serious heat rash at the slightest bit of extra warmth, but its nothing an oatmeal bath and a little cool down can't fix. 

The problem is that he sleeps best being all snuggly warm, which breaks him out.  And temps in South Texas during March seem to break him out.  Since temperatures are only going to get hotter over the next few months, it might be a splotchy summer for the little guy...

Cole doesn't feel the heat rash, but he definitely can feel all the hands in his face whenever he is awake.  I feel like a bodyguard for this little guy against his brother and sister (mainly sister), who love to play with him.  

Cole loves to be held and loves to swing to go to sleep.  Put these two together and his favorite place in the house is the front porch swing...which just happens to be my favorite place in the house.  And with the absolute perfect weather we have been having, Cole and I have been having some good times on the front porch together the last few weeks.
