Its a Texas tradition to take spring pictures of your babies in a field of bluebonnets and this year I decided to join in.
One day I took the kids out to run and play in the field and pose for me.
My favorites from the day:

They say that this was a bad year for the flowers, since our winter was so harsh, but we found a field that had plenty of color for us!
I mistakenly let the two year old in the group know that I wanted a cute picture from her, with her hair looking nice and a smile. So of course, that was exactly the opposite of what she wanted.
Fortunately, she forgot at times that she was being stubborn and had a good time, so I snuck in a few good ones!
Ethan had a great morning exploring the area, trying to figure out what the hawks in the sky were looking for and didn't seem to mind stopping in his play to take a picture.
I went too late in the morning so I couldn't get one that didn't put the sun right in Cole's eyes, so I didn't take the time to get a good one of him by himself.

I had promised the kids ice cream if they gave mommy a few good pictures (which I felt like they did a great job of!), so after playing in the field we stopped by the Bluebell Creamery.

After ice cream and then more running,
I had a quiet ride home.
And a few more, just because I think my kids are so cute:
