A huge perk of being back in Houston is that we are close to Aaron's family here. Uncle Curtis lives 5 minutes away, so we get to see him almost every week. Grandpa and Gigi live far away in Calgary, but get to make trips to Houston when Grandpa comes down for work. And since Uncle Nick also works in the energy industry, he and his family might someday move close to us as well.
Grandpa and Gigi recently spent a week with us in Houston so Grandpa could go to meetings and then play with our guy in the evening.
Gigi got to spend a bit more time with the kiddos during the day, which was fun for them. They love showing their toys and games to new people.

read books
and laughed.
We love that we get to see Uncle Curtis so much these days. We have a fairly regular weekly dinner date at our house with him or we meet up with him down at the corner bar to watch a game and grab some beers. It's great to live so close that it is so routine to see him now, but it also means he doesn't make the blog as often because of it. :)
