Turbo has made it to double digits - in months. He is a babbling, crawling, eating machine.
And now our little Turbo is a walking machine! He walked his first steps this afternoon, which seemed like they might have been an accident, and by the evening he had a little confidence behind his legs. Our man is WALKING!
Ethan has been walking around holding onto just one of our fingers for a little while and I'm surprised he decided to let go today. It's cute because he would laugh before he took his steps today, almost like he knew he had figured it out. He seems to see walking as a game and goes back to crawling when he really wants to move. It will be neat to see when walking becomes his mode of getting around.
Other than figuring out his legs and balance, this month was pretty quiet on big developments. E still has 8 teeth and we can see the next two ready to push through.
We did upgrade to the jumbo plastic bib that covers as much clothing as possible because E is starting to feed himself more. This has decreased the number of outfit changes in a day dramatically. :)
One of my favorite times with Ethan right now is when we read. He gets excited when I start talking about books and snuggles into my lap. It's the only time when he's awake and happy that he'll sit still and I love it. His favorite book is becoming 'Where There's a Bear, There's Trouble' because of all the sound effects and voices.
Ethan's two favorite times during the day are when Daddy comes home from work (he jumps and smiles and squeals and fast crawls over to Aaron, its very sweet) and bath time. It cracks me up how much babies love water.
Some of my favorite things E is doing now: He likes to take things off Aaron or I and put them back on - sunglasses, hats, headbands. Then he puts them on him and takes them off, giggling the whole time. He's adorable with sunglasses on. This game can amuse him for a long time...usually a whole trip through the grocery store. He turns pages in his books when asked (I LOVE this). He grabs my hand, finds my pinky and puts his fingers around it when he wants to get up and walk.
The many faces of E:
