Mr E is a long baby with a large head. When he was born he was in the 50-75th percentile in weight, 90 percentile in length and off the charts on head size. He's been growing so fast his first few weeks and he's growing in length more than width. At 6 weeks, he's still 50-75th percentile in weight and off the charts on head size, but now above 95th percentile in length. He's already 4 inches longer after 6 weeks! He has a very long torso (takes after his dad on that one) and long, skinny legs (sadly, chicken legs come from both Aaron and I - he had no chance for nice calves!). Pretty much, he's a long string bean with a lollipop on top. But he's a cute little lollipop. :)
I am absolutely amazed at how fast he is growing and changing. Every day he learns something new or noticeably gets better control of his body. His favorite is to show off how good he is at holding his head up - he loves to hold his head up and watch the world. I think he's also pretty happy he can control his arms better now because he loves to suck on his fists...and sucking on your fists is much easier when you can actually bring your fist to your mouth when you want to (without hitting yourself in the nose...).
Happy fathers day to all the dad's out there! We celebrated Aaron's first dad's day by messing around in the yard and then hanging out at his parent's in the evening. Kris and Lorrie have one of the best back yards in the city and there is no better place to be in Anchorage on a sunny evening. It was a fun day of celebrating Aaron being a dad!
(Please focus more on the beautiful view from Lorrie's back yard than on how high my son's pants are riding! :) )

He is changing and growing so fast! Very cute little guy...I think he gets cuter in every picture! Love the views you have there, so amazing you get to live in such a beautiful place. I also love the reference to the "sunny evening"! Are you used to that yet?
He has to have a big head in order to get all the knowledge he is going to need in there. He doesn't want gorilla arms (ones that hang down to his knees)- a family trait?
