Cole's ninth month was so much fun. Our sweet baby Coley changed so much, moved so much, and laughed so much, we had a blast with him.
This is my favorite stage in babyhood because the jumps in development for both their minds and bodies are so big and Cole just giggled his way through all the growth.
Cole is a baby that loves to move! He doesn't necessarily move fast, but he is always moving. Always. It is tiring to hold this guy because he squirms like a little piggy the whole time.
This little piggy spends his day always chasing, exploring, touching.
He started the month off scooting around on his belly,
then early in the month he got up on all fours and crawled around,
and started standing by himself for a few seconds at a time,
and then began figuring out his feet behind his walker.
This month Cole also discovered his knee.
And that if he can get his knee up on anything, he can climb it.
And now he climbs EVERYTHING.
Stairs, drawers, shelves, his walker...
Once Cole discovered his knee could get him up a level in the house, it is the only place he wants to be!
He grew in other ways, starting with learning to clap his hands and sometimes wave bye bye.
He loves open and closing things, take things in and out.
And he made a big jump in learning to communicate - using his hands to let us know when he wants up and is done, uses his syllables like eh eh eh as he talks to us. And every once in a while use mama to call me.
In his ninth month, Cole began to try and play with his siblings more. He has always be interested in what they are doing and this month all he wanted to do was touch and be in the middle of what they are doing.
Buildings and towers are his favorite...
to crash!
We say Cole will be a tough kid because he takes a lot of hits as the youngest of three and this month he showed he is learning to give those hits as well as he takes them! :)
My favorite thing about Coley at this age, other than his fabulous, constant, and contagious smile, is his little bitty compact body. I love the few moments he actually holds still and I get to hold that sweet thing in my arms.
Another of my favorites about this guy - he loves savory foods better than sweets. What baby prefers beans over fruit? He's a nut.
And he knows he is a nut. He makes himself laugh, he makes us laugh, and then we are all laughing together.
He is such a sweet,
smiley,
silly,
nutty little baby.
9 months is good!

Cole figured out how he can throw his body around and rock the big brown chair during pictures this month.
It was tough to get him to even hold still for a second as he giggled and threw his body around.
But I sat there until he got bored with it....
and finally got a good one of our nine month old.
