Our summer is flying by and somehow we are already through the month of June. During the month we bounced between the pools, the beaches, the splash pads, friends' houses and just hanging at home. Here are a few randoms of our summer so far:
When we are at home, the most likely place to find the kids is playing diggers in the rock box,
cooling off in the pool,
or inside playing dress up or building with magnatiles or legos.
Ethan's favorite is to be a fireman, so much that he has started to want to wear his fire gear everywhere we go...just in case there is a fire while we are at Costco...
Luckily the emergencies can wait until after he wakes up.
Besides the pool, splash pads are the kids favorite activity these days.
We love the splash pad at the zoo the best, because after splashing around we can go check out the animals.
And even get some close encounters.
We have started going back to the Children's Museum, where the kids pretend
and learn
and play.
Big news for the month was that Kelsey's hair grew long enough to put in her first little piggy tails
we turned her carseat around, which she loved,
and Ethan fell in love with binoculars.
During the month we breakfasted on the porch,
picnicked in the park
and snacked everywhere.
We ran our first Fuhr family race
after cheering Daddy on during the big race
and celebrated together afterwards.
We made several trips to the beach
where Ethan furthered his obsession with digging
and did some serious work.
Kels practiced her floating
