Our girl Kelsey has hit the 15th month mark. She is growing into a spunky, happy little toddler who is just full of life and smiles.
Since her first birthday we have seen Kelsey's personality start to burst out. She has always been a smiley little one, but now she is adding a funny little spunk that keeps us laughing.
Kels is turning into a very activite lady. Before Kels was up walking around consistently, she was perfectly content sitting on a blanket watching the world around her. Now that she is on her feet, she doesn't hold still.
She has become a roamer, a climber, a biker, and an explorer.
She is fearless as she plays. She tries to jump/fall off things of any height, loves to go fast and will follow her brother anywhere, if she isn't off already on her own.
She is turning into a little chatter box. She understands everything we say to her and responds with cute little head nods yes or no or one or two word answers.
Her favorite is to say no and shake her head as big as she can over and over and over again. A simple no turns into a minute long headshake, ending in giggles.
Her words are getting very clear and she is consistently using two or more at a time. She started talking by mimicking words we said and has grown to speaking her own words.
Her favorite playtime activity is walking circles around the room, carrying a random toy she picked up and chattering her cute babble talk. She is on a mission while she does this, walking with a purrpose and telling a very animated story.
She has fantastic facial expressions as she talks to us. You can see from a distance what her intent is when her face scrunches up into a little pout or uh oh face or huge smile.
Kels is becoming a sly little girl. She likes to push our buttons and do what she's not supposed to. When she does something like hit her brother, she gives the sneakiest little smile, looks up at us, does it again. Then she bursts out in giggles like she is the funniest thing. It's cute, for now.
Kelsey loves snuggly stuffed animals and soft blankets. She loves trucks, balls, and bikes. She loves cheese and berries. She loves books. She loves necklaces, hats, and dress up clothes but hates bows and headbands.
She knows some animal names and is starting to make the animals sounds. She has decided that animals speak only in loud voices. Her moo's are a very excited MOOOO and cheeps are a happy CHEEEP. It is hilarious to see her shout so happily in her daddy's face as they read together.
Speaking of her dad, Kelsey is turning into a little daddy's girl. She has always gotten super excited when he comes home at night and so happy to see him, but now she is starting to want him to do things with her instead of me.
Bathtime is their special time to play together, and sometimes she adds a little dress up time aferwards...
Kelsey is so fun, sweet, fiesty and hilarious right now that part of me wishes she would never change. Everyday we have to soak up as much of her as we can because she is changing so fast, each week she's into new things.
