Kelsey B is three months old and doing great. She has kept her content, mellow personality that she had from day one and is developing her happy and social sides.
She has found her vocal cords and loves to use them, happily and loudly. Her favorite thing right now is for you to hold her in front of your face so she can open her mouth wide and make this happy screeching noise. She loves to 'talk' to us!
Kelsey couldn't be a happier baby and is turning into a social little girl. She smiles as soon as someone comes into her view and just needs to be able to see us to be content.
A three month olds lack of object permanence is very cute and helps make peek a boo a fun game for her. As soon as we get into her line of site we get lots of smiles and giggles and the second we leave her vision its like we were never there. And its such a surprise when we pop back into vision!
Another of my favorites about Kelsey is that she loves to snuggle. Her brother never stopped moving long enough to lay his head against us to snuggle in, but Kelsey loves to. She is so content being held and loved on.
I love this girl's chunky baby body! I love that she has kept her big, adorable cheeks and can't get enough of those rolls on her legs.
Obviously, Kelsey is still eating great (it takes a lot to support those cheeks!) but turns out she is picky on how she eats. She hates the bottle. Hates it. She only likes to eat one way and does not understand how to get food any other way. Which means she and I don't get very
far from one another!
In her first three months, Kelsey has gotten the nicknames of Special K, Kels, kB and Kelsey Q.
As you can see from the pic, she does not need to be tightly swaddled as much to sleep anymore.
Now that she is more alert, she loves to watch her brother play around her. And lucky for her, he loves to have her close to him. Several times a day, he gets down and plays under her activity gym with her, lays in the pack n play to watch the mobile with her, or asks to hold her while we read. I am surprised at how much they interact already.
The happy girl at three months!
