E is for Exploring

Now that Ethan has been crawling and climbing on things for a few months, he spends a lot of his timing exploring the house.  Whatever room we're hanging out in, he heads straight for the drawers and cabinets first.  The kitchen has enough cabinets plus the pantry that he can entertain himself for a long time.  If we're in the bathroom, the toilet paper and bathtub are fun hangouts.  If its the laundry room then the dryer is a fun place to try and figure out how to get into (hasn't figured it out yet!).

Its always a fun time when its time to load the dishwasher.  Aaron had two helpers with the dishes that night!

Malley is usually following right behind E because she has figured out that the things he pulls out of drawers and cabinets can be a lot of fun to play with...especially the toilet paper and kleenex.

E loves pulling books off any shelf that he finds one on and this bookshelf is the best because it has the basket of wine corks (that have been washed!) in it too.  This little set up is usually a guaranteed 30 minutes of play while I make dinner each night.

Luckily, he does like to wander over to his toy area and play for a while...although Mom and Dad's stuff is usually a lot more fun! :)

Here are two views from a hike last week, looking out into the inlet from trails around Beach Lake.
